Mr. Kyle Roessler

Mr. Roessler joined the SKC Life Sciences Department faculty in 2021. He received his B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from University of Montana in 2017. He subsequently earned a M.S. in Basic Biomedical Science from University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He is currently engaged in working towards a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Montana State University, partnered with SKC.

During his M.S., Mr. Roessler worked on a project to elucidate the characteristics of a specific physiological mechanism by which the cardiovascular and central nervous systems integrate to control blood pressure in Sprague Dawley. He has had further experience in the fields of mammalian cell biology and infectious disease, as well as systems administration. His prior experience illustrated the importance of providing thorough and effective science education, which brought him home to the Mission Valley. By working at SKC, he is able to actively engage in his scientific interests whilst passing this knowledge to future generations of local scientists.

His current research involved the characterization of local aquatic and terrestrial bacterial species which are involved in the metabolism of byproducts of fossil fuel combustion and refinement. He is currently in the process of developing additional projects which investigate the various microbial species which inhabit and affect our local communities and ecosystems.
